I have two clumps of crocosmia lucifer plants, one has flowers and the other has none. What can I do to encourage it to flower.

I have had the same experience this year, but on looking closely yesterday, I can see the second clump, which oddly, gets more sun if there is any sun, now has small buds appearing. The other clump, in a shadyish spot, has been flowering for 2 weeks. You may yet get flowers, but if not, dig the clump up, split and replant, but do not break apart the vertical 'strings' of corms if they are present - replant with those still in place, in September or October.

I had a big clump of Lucifer for several years with a wonderfil show. Then it started to make less flowers and eventually failed. Maybe the the only way is to start all over again. Either with the bulbs already there, or some fresh ones. I tried with bulbs I dug up but they didn't bloom.
