I am interested in growing climbing hydrangea and clematis, but I would like to know whether they naturally grow to the left or right, or toward the sun. I want to get it right the 1st time and not need to move them later. Advise me please.

They head for where the light is strongest.

But the hydrangeas are happy in quite a shady position and you can train them where you want them to go by initially fastening them in and after that by judicious pruning. They like lots of water.

How do I say thanks?
