I've just received the first spring bulb catalogue.
What I'd like to know is, if I order early, and they arrive by August, do I plant the bulbs immediately, or should I keep them for a while? I want to try to get them early, as last years lot, ordered quite late, were nearly all mouldy when they arrived (even the second lot that came after I complained).

I like the thought of planting them 'as soon as', that way the weather will be a bit kinder.
Thanks all.

A lot of people prefer to leave planting tulips until later though.

They should store ok in a cool, dark, dry area. Or you could just throw them in the ground.
I've just put my order in with the boss.....55,000 bulbs in total for me !!!!!
