If I plant seeds from a matured nursery purchased Early Girl tomato plant will the new plant be pure or hybrid?

i'd go hybrid. to get the variety they have there will be a good mix of genes present. most varieties rarely come true from seed. some appear so on physical inspection but dna would be different.

'Early Girl' is an F1 hybrid, so its offspring will be all sorts, even if other tomatoes didn't pollinate it. Still, some of the seedlings might be worth keeping.

Probably hybrid because they almost certainly will be growing other tomatoes close by. But the only way to find out is to sow and grow.
