Hi, I have just moved house and found a unflowering shub taking over my garden. after heaverly prunning back i since found out it was a Jasinum officinale. I am worried now that maybe i killed it off because of the time of year. is this the case or will whats left survive?

Thanks, what is best to feed it on? I will water it well now we have a little sun, but what is a good plant food for shrubs? Thanks again.

If it was taking over your garden are you sure it needs feeding? Never fed any of ours and they are frequently hacked back so we can get down the paths.

Thanks, I will leave it to nature for now and keep my fingers crossed. Thank you both for your help. I will try and get the before and after photos uploaded later. :)

I should think it will be ok in this wet weather, for it to come back well. Don't forget to feed it and water too if it ever goes dry! Most shrubs are prunable at this time of the year after flowering, whether drastic or otherwise, they mostly recover. There are a few like Ceanothus and some conifers that do not like being cut back too far.
