can i root rhododendrons from cuttings?

i have a rhododendron and would like to root more from it if possible.

Rather than cuttings, you could try layering it. This involves young shoots (not woody ones) low down on the plant near the ground. Bruise the underside of the shoot, bury the bruised part (hold it down with a stone if necessary) and tie the end to a short stick stuck in the soil. This should form new roots and can then be detached from the mother plant but will take two years
