I love the look of the Astrantia, and it says full sun or partial shade; but where I would like to plant them only gets the sun until noon. Is that enough sun-time?

Sounds fine. I have mine in an area that sometimes gets full sun and sometimes is in shade and they are doing well. The UK has had a lot of rain this year and they seem to like that too.

Thank you! We have an inground sprinkler system, so they will not dry out.

I would say that would be OK as they do not like to be blasted with heat and hot sunshine, and thrive in a nice light moist soil. I lost mine because I put them in a border that took the full force of midday/ afternoon sun and gets very dry in an average summer......not this one!
