Hi. I have no gardening knowledge, but have seen a plant that I would like to get for my garden. The gardener who planted it cannot remember its name, and my friend who run a garden center in the past does not know either! Does anyone know what this plant is called. I have established that it is a perennial.
Thanks in advance.

i like the form of it too! Looks good in a clump and I'm wondering if insects like it. I take it that these are the seedheads as i can see a few petals hanging on. Don't think I've seen it before.

Those are definitely the flowers. They just go dark straw coloured when they have finished.

I have it in my garden, its Phlomis russeliana, the seedheads make great dried flowers.

And the phlomis in the picture may even have come from one plant originally a few years ago They spread slowly but steadily and will eventually fill a good sized space if you want them to. But easy to keep in check otherwise.
I have Phlomis Russeliana and think its a super plant
