black lilly

I purchased what was called a black lilly, now i know you can't get black, its really a deep purple colour, but is there anything i could do to help it maintain its deep colour?

These like a lot of moisture, and can be stood in a pond for the summer. Obviously, you should not feed it if it's going to stand in the pond as it would cause problems with algae.

Tomato food helps to give the plant nutrients that the flowers need, including for colour, so you could give it a dose of that. Also, bright strong sunlight might fade the blooms. Do you know the botanical name?
