hi again everybody, l no its been a while since l have been on the site but all you women out there just would'nt leave me alone, you were all drooling over my garden in orlando but now l have a small garden in darlington durham so l guess you all will leave me now, only joking right here is the real question, l have to species of honeysuckle and two clotted cream jasmine do l have to cut these back each year and when because at the moment they look stalky and raggy but still flowering, what l mean is there both growing but stalky for the first two or three feet can anyone advise

I'm going to lightly trim mine when it's finished flowering (Jasmine) and then cut it hard back in the spring as I have no foilage at the bottom either.

I was advised to cut my honeysuckle back immediately after the last flowers had gone. Last year I did this about the end of June and it seemed to pay off this year as it really filled out and had a lot more flowers. Will do the same again this year.

i tend to do mine [honeysuckle] in the spring or basic tidying in early autumn.
