When I got my allotment in Feb I only got half of a full one but this week I have been given the other attaching half which is totally overgrown so a lot of work to do. The question is what flowers I could grow in a bed next year for use as cut flowers for the house.

Well you can grow what you want.
Just send off for a seed catalogue and take your pick from the descriptions.
For succession of flowers choose some that flower in spring, summer and autumn....if those seasons still exist.
So as an example it's dafs and tulips for spring, annuals for summer, gladiolus, chrysanths for autumn.

Sow some Sweet Williams and wallflowers now. Thin out as they grow.
