My four tree lillies planted in large pots in March are 4 to 5 feet high and flowering well with 3 to six pods each. But what do I do with them when flowering finishes. My ordinary lillies I cut back as they die off and compost the the cuttings, With these do I just cut off the heads or cut them back to the base. I plan to leave them in the pots.

For Tree Lilies you keep cutting the spent flowers off and they flower into August. When they grow brown after frosts hit you cut them down to ground level. It was so mild last year mine stayed green and grew slowly over winter and started to flower in May/June.
