I planted quite a few yellow flowers this year and the one that I really want to grow again next year, I have lost the name of. It is a roughly one inch across and the flower is almost ragged and tatty and the stem is quite long and thin. Can anyone help please with the name.

the only way is to look through the internet at daisy /sunflower type varieties and try to find it there are so many fitting your description otherwise have a look through the rhs a-z encyclopaedia and eventually you will find something similar to it

Hi Flintstone. The only way you will get a definitive answer to the question is to post a picture of it. Sorry, we do try to help but there are dozens of plants that fit that description and I'm afraid that the impossible takes for ever.
