mildew

hi everyone hope you are all ok.been in my garden this afternoon and noticed all my roses have mildew.does anyone know what is causing this am i doing something wrong.what do i do.

It is caused by dryness at the root and we have had a very dry spring

Water it well at the roots and mulch it and clear up any fallen diseased leaves.

When the plant becomes dehydrated it gets stressed. Then a fungal infection like mildew can make an attack. When the plant is slightly weakened, the fungus launches its offensive against it. Help it fight back with watering and a spraying like they say.

No, you're not doing anything wrong, though sometimes bad pruning can encourage it. You need to get yourself a fungicidal spray and apply it. Try Roseclear, mix it up yourself according to the instructions - this also deals with aphids, etc.
