Is this a coreopsis?
On plant
I bought this for 50p as an 'oddment'. The greengrocer didn't know what plant it was and I was told it could be a coreopsis, a low growing, slowly spreading nice little plant, easily divided.

Thanks all. It's just that Michaella showed one on here that was very tall and very invasive, but I think hers is a different plant and possibly could be corylopsis (rather than coreopsis) which is massive!!

Er. sorry but Corylopsis is a shrub not a herbaceous perennial like this one. I would agree Coreopsis, but there are annual ones as well as the perennial ones.

I have quite a few Coreopis and this looks exactly the same as my Coreopsis grandiflora heliot it on page 2 of my garden list if you want to have a look?

I have this one and compared it to my very tall one..they look nothing like each other, this is why I keep going back to Helianthus.. (Lemon Queen)..it looks very close to that.

I am just going out and will take a close up of the leaf and flower of Lemon Queen for you Michaella on about 2010 all being well. ---- Just put them in a blog for you
