That the one witha long handle and a two prong fork on the end?
My oh uses one they are very good. Don't try to doit all in one day just a few at a time as you wander across the lawn (we're country dwellers too)

You forgot, clover, moss, sow thistle, Fireweed, Ragged robin, Silverweed, Grim the Collier and half a dozen other weeds which come in from around. We ignore them, except for the flat growing thistle which we do try to remove. Verdone Broadleaf lawn Weed kills that for one season at least.

I would first sprinkle one of the normal Weed and Feed products and see how many that kills off and then on those that survive I would spray Verdone Extra or Verdone Broadleaf.
But if you prefer digging them out with one of the weeding tools, good luck.

I like most of the wild flowers and have a rough area with thistles, nettles teasles etc. and am rewarded by lovely seed eating birds like goldfinches, tend to take thistles etc out of the lawn as they can be painful...... :0)

I forgot about daisies and buttercups. And in our grass, Cyclamen and Eryngium agavifolium and Selfheal.

if i lived near by i would be happy to become your personal weed hacker, dandelion thistles are very good for eating! not many near me! other wise i would recommend the weed puller thats gets the roots as well, i think its by friskars not 100% sure on that though.
