I noticed the leaves on my young blackcurrant bush where wilting and when i looked closely the bark on the branches was spliting open and baring the stem what can i do to rectify this problem ?..... polytunnel.

I would cut out the damaged stems and wait for the new ones to start growing. If it happens too much there might be a more serious problem but I don't know what it would be. I have noticed that cold weather can freeze the water in stems which splits the bark but not at this time of year.
