i'd go for Crinum asiaticum, long orangy anthers are a dead give away. nice plant.
doesnt the Hymenocallis look more liked the 'hooped' daffodils. also called Ismene?

Yeah biggest thanks.. i'd go for crinum too ive looked it up and i cant believe what ive read, native to tropical asia growing to 6ft high & 7ft wide.. it was also suggested growing in a pot which will be a problem for later.. i would love to grow it in the garden but i fear our climate in the east of england would not be suitable.. anyway thankyou again. ;-)
