what animal will eat my peas and broad beans

i live in rural wiltshire and have found once again this year something is eating my beans and peas. opening the pods, eating the beans and peas and leaving the pods on the path. what could this be

Wonder if it's a squirrel, don't think it would be a rabbit opening the pods.

mice...they love peas
