how tall do mother- in -tongues grow, please.

i have repotted these about 4 times and i am soon to do them again,is it alright to do it when there is a new shoot growing as it has-nt much room to get through.

That looks like a flowering shoot - I'd wait for it to finish before repotting, but the plant looks rather large already. You could just remove part of it by splitting some off the rootball and then putting it back in the same pot. I've never seen one more than 3 feet, but the way yours is growing, who can say;-)
