Today in the garden

Cleaned out my herb patch, planted some parsley and thyme, checked out my wisteria, still no sign of life, is this normal. I live in west of Ireland. I planted it 2 years ago, cant wait for it to flower, if it flowers this year will have to throw a party to show it off. I am a little concerned that where it is planted it is a little exposed to winds.

Mine not doing anything yet Rossiegardner, keeping my fingers crossed also, I hope the cold weather hasn't killed it off. I am on the east side of England but we had really cold weather and lost lots of plants in winter, some had been in the garden as long as 20 years. Hope your herb patch grows well for you I will keep my fingers crossed for your wisteria.

Yes Oliveoil lots of damage done to shrubs, was so surprised to see viburnum over 20 years old so damaged, still hoping it will recover. So many new plants dead Red Robin, mahonia, choysia, escolina and lots more, I think it is pointless growing these anymore or should I give them one more try. Cant imagin we will have such severe winters again.

Hywel, where was your wisteria growing, I am worried about mine being too exposed to wind, can this be a problem for flowering.
