Just joined, and already I have a request for a blog !
Whistonlass has asked for drool-making photos of where I live – I include three for now
a. Typical view of St.Helena – the hill in the centre has the remnants of a military fort on its peak
View of the wharf where all ships and yachts arrive/leavec. Castle Gardens – a public park in Jamestown, our capital.
I’ll shall get a picture of St.Helena’s fields of Arum Lilies – they grow wild and in profusion here!

According to the profile update page, the country where I (now) live doesn't exist. I live on the tiny island of St.Helena in the middle of the South Atlantic Ocean - one of the last remaining red bits of the Empire! (However, we call Cambridge home when we are in the UK)

No you're not Hywel!!! You're thin....remember you've changed your whole look :)

I was wondering if you were a teacher Whistonlass. That naughty boy Hywel has not done his homework!!!!! lol
8 Oct, 2010
No, Linda...not a teacher (don't think I'd have the patience for starters)...lol We were newsagents in the UK for 27 yrs. and prior to that I was a stay-at-home mom and a secretary.
I think I just naturally like to do google searches and get info....Hywel has been a busy guy making a path to his shed so we'll let him off...lol

For somewhere that doesn't exist, St Helena looks lovely. The Arum Lily fields sound wonderful.
