I have quite a small front garden which doesn't really get much sun until late in the day and can be very windy. In contrast my back garden is 100 feet long (but only as wide as our terraced house) and has full sun all day and can get very hot. At present the back garden has horrible old conifers lining either side which I want to remove and replace with nice varied shrubs (low maintenance but pretty is my wish). I love my gardens but unfortunately don't really have alot of time to spend in it. I also get sunburn very easily and as the back garden is in full sun a need to try to create some shady spots without swamping the garden. I really look forward to checking all the advice and amazing pictures I have only started to find on this site!
