I am a keen gardener - but only of the pot and basket type really!! I have a largish front garden and bigger back garden situated on an end plot in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. I have a large pond with waterfall and fruit trees in my back garden as well as a pergola, greenhouse, small shed, wood garage and an old railway shed (which is rather lovely although needs a bit of repair now). I'm not too keen on the digging and hoeing so lots of my garden has been laid with plum slate round the edges to afford low maintenance!! I did however develop a very small vegetable plot this year and have had a small amount of success with that but not sure if it's worth the bother next year. My preferred pastime is to grow bedding plants from seed and fill the garden with colour for the few weeks over the summer and to some degree through the winter months. I share the garden with Izzy and Twiggy (naughty Jack Russells) who actually do rather like digging and have kindly made several traps for me when the grass gets a bit too long to see the holes. They occasionally take a swim in the pond too!
