Hermodactylus Tuberosus

The quite unusual looking flowers bloom in early summer ahead of the leaves which don't emerge until the autumn. Easily grown in well drained sunny places. Does particularly well on chalky soil. Likes to be dry in summer and covered with mulch in winter.
