Hello my name is Nicola. I've been a gardener since I can remember but converted my hobby into something more serious 25 years ago.
I've trained at both Osborne House and RHS Wisley and have a horticultural degree. My first garden was on clay now I've taken on a second garden vastly different plot to the first. This is windswept and sand. I began thinking I could grow easily on this light media, how wrong was I. I have a very kind neighbour who allows me to take well rotted horse manure as and when I need it without this I doubt much would grow. Would really love to hear if anyone else has given a Sandy plot a go and how that has or hasn't gone.
