Returning to vegetable gardening in a small way this year after a layoff of 20 years, partly as more time available now I'm semi retired, and partly because I'm fed up with paying ridiculous prices for veg at the supermarket which invariably expire before their sell-by dates. Plus of course the joy of picking veg straight for the table same day.
