BUNNYS AND SNOW

I think the whole of the country is getting snow now apart from parts of cornwall lucky them, thats 7 days of it now i went into where my green is and was well up past my knees in snow i went and got my rule and it was 23 ins and its like powder so dry with the frost -16 this morn we havent had snow today so i hope its all past for now. One thing puzzles me how does a rabbit manage to run around on the top of that depth of snow i sware they use snow shoes

that is magical but i think you need some magic to move around and keep warm in it!
good question about the rabbits ~ perhaps they are lighter than we think

They have large hairy feet that act like snowshoes. One of the pet ones went investigating today. They are not that heavy either about 4lbs/2kg. [ours are a bit fat at that weight so wild ones will be lighter].

Hywel

We have had very little snow here in south west Wales - just about a centimetre, and it didn't last long.
We have pouring rain now, and it's been pouring down since last night :o)
It's very mild aswell - much better !

Hallo Hywel, please send the rain here so that the snow goes away.....although milder temps are forecast for tomorrow and monday...that will then mean that we have ice on the roads....and that is even worse than snow.
