Good evening fellow gardeners.I was wondering how the weather has been today in your neck of the woods .Here in Staffordshire it got up to 24 degrees and was "blooming lovely "(excuse the pun) .To make the most of the nice weather ,the missus and I went to Trentham Gardens (i’m sure some of you will know it).If ever you do get to go,you will not be disappointed.They must have had 1000’s of flowers and plants.Even though more pricey than other places,the quality and colours were very impressive.I managed to grab a few things towards my oriental corner idea.Such as bamboo wind chimes,statues and 5 different acers.If this oriental theme does not work out,i have a back-up plan for next year.A couple of weeks ago i came across something in the newspaper.It is called a Wildflower “GROMAT”.It is directed at encouraging bees and butterflies back into your garden.It is a roll of white sheeting with 60 thousand wildflower seeds embedded into it.You can actually see all the different kinds of seeds.Anyway i baught 2 for £24.95(120 000 seeds).If it does work and it brings bees and butterflies back then that would be worth it.If anyone has ever planted such a thing in the past,please can you tell me if it worked for you ?Thanks,Stokey

The weather here was overcast and quite chilly not at all nice ,today however is lovely, sunny and warm with a little breeze ideal day for me to get gardening and get some vitamin `D`...

The weather picked up about 2pm Stokey and even late evening was still quite warm, the forecast is good for the next few days, lets hope they are right.. I hope you do get some butterflies back, they`ve been sadly very missing around here as well...
