My boys and myself dug a wildlife pond a few years ago when we moved in. Well I dug they cleared off after a while. But within weeks we had natives move in.
Since then we have had plenty of frogs/ frogs spawn, lots of damsel flies and dragon flies not to mention all the extra you get with a wild life pond.
Last year I saw our very first newt, and two days ago when I was clearing it out and re potting my iris I found a huge leach. Luckily I found it before it found me.
Have you taken any before during and lastly after photos for when you are finished.
Looking forward to seeing it. Good luck.
