A Quick Catch Up.

Hello, I haven’t fallen off the planet or been swallowed up by a man eating plant just busy with life. I thought it was about time I popped my head round the corner and said hello. You have all been so busy and I have a lot of reading to catch up on.
I planted lots of perennials and annuals in the border this year and although I have a lot of colour I’m not really very happy with it. I’m at a bit of a loss as what to do with it. I have major problem with bindweed coming through from my neighbors garden it’s a right nightmare. I’m going to have to have a good long think about it I suppose. I feel like I’m losing my way in the garden at the moment. But I am enjoying the colour.
Hope your enjoying the sunshine.

Thanks for the kind words Drc726. I to have lovely neighbours so I guess I can cope with the bindweed to.
Hi Stickitoffee, I use a free to download photo-editing program called Picasa and I use the collage button. It's easy to use but does take up quite a bit of memory if you’re not careful.

I have exactly the same problem with Bindweed from one neighbour's garden ... it's actually flowering in their Bay tree ... about 8ft. high! Like Drc though we are fortunate to have good neighbours on each side ... so each time I see the dreaded weed I pull it up before it gets too tall! ...... Love your pics ... lots of colour in your garden ... the pure white Gladioli is beautiful. :o)))

I think it looks lovely. Bindweed seems to be everywhere this year. It is not something that troubled me in the past and I have a fully walled garden so I can't blame the neighbours for this weed. It is all through our shrubbery in the front garden and as quick as I pull it out it grows back five fold. I thought if I could deprive it of light it would die off but it won't comply. Lol. The borage amongst the herbaceous flowers is great. I have that growing too.

I think we all feel like this about our gardens from time to time. But look at it from my eyes tonight! I see a summer garden full of colour and interest and I am sitting here and wishing I could sit in it with a cuppa so as to smell it too.
My neighbours both sides have ground elder and trying to keep it down in mine drives me nuts too, so you are not alone. The up side is I have great neighbours and that is worth their weeds!!!
