Recently I was shown a new and quick way of reducing the size of photos for posting on our blogs, so I’m going to share. This is for windows users only. I dont know an equivalent for Macs.

Step 1. Bring up Windows Explorer and find your photos(Press Windows E together)
Step 2. If you have a list of folders on the left hand side close it using the x at the top right of the folders.
Step 3. Select all the photos you want to shrink (you can do this by clicking on them whilst holding down the control button)
Step 4. On the left hand of your screen you should have a box which says File and Folder Tasks and below that email this file. Click on that.
Step 5. You will be given the option to shrink the size of the photos – take it.
Step 6. An email will open which now contains a copy of all your photos reduced in size.
Step 7. You can then save them to a new folder (Alt f Alt n) for those of you who like short cuts.

That’s it. 100 times quicker believe me.

I do too Drc.
Sarah, most cameras give you the choice of image sizes and you can select this before you take your pictures, ask a 'gadget-geek' to see if this is the case with yours because it would take all the aggro out of things.
