Just being friendly

I thought I would share one of the nicest scenes in the garden with you.
Pretty isn’t it: the finely cut leaves of the Japanese maple just beginning to poke through – all colour coordinated and the Camellia shedding confetti like they were getting married. Like a cooing couple sitting on a park bench.
I wonder how many years I have though of them cuddling up close like this before they start to get on each other’s nerves and need separating.
This is one of the other Camellias which I also really like: its got really delicate pink stripes – but doesnt seem to have decided to put on quite as good show – only these two blooms have yet come out.
There are Acers behind this one too, but the spacing is rather better so I’m not so concerned about them.
