I am a novice gardener living in Weston Super Mare in the South West of England. I live slightly inland on the coast. Just over two years ago (Feb 2015) I bought a victorian house that came with a beautiful garden that had been neglected over recent years. Whoever looked after it initially knew about gardening as the plants flower one after another throughout the spring and summer. I have introduced many more plants and cut back and removed others. It is sheltered from the wind with stone walls all the way round and a high fence. To the left as you stand in the garden is a high wall of an extension on next doors house that also offers shelter. The garden is nearly south facing, I think. The sun rises in the left hand corner at the bottom of the garden and sets in the top right hand corner near to the house. Any advice would be greatly received. Thank you
