We have finally finished the painting of the garage, which now sports new guttering aswell, so at last i was able to really get stuck into the garden!

Today we paid a visit to our local garden centre. I um… and arghed… and took the plunge and bought a fruit and veg cage. I have been contemplating for some time, about making my own but could not resist the price of the one i bought. At last i don’t have to run down the garden scattering birds and cabbage white butterflies! I can thouroughly recommend buying a cage to anyone thinking the same.

It was easy to erect once i’d untangled myself, finished turning the air blue and gave in, only to watch my wife finish what i had nearly ruined!! [ how embarrassing ! ] Now hopeing for great results.

At the end of another glorious day, believe it or not, i had to water all my pots and containers on the patio and then even water the lawn!!! We have had no rain down here for the last 11 days. Although it has been pleasant, we have had quite a cool but very drying breeze over the last few days. It was quite a shock when considering what a bad winter we have all just had.

Hope to show you all some pics as soon as the young step-son can find the time to show me how to use this modern gadget!!!!
