About me
My husband and I retired to the Texas coast because it was the nearest beach to Denver; where our kids live. I was a Colorado Master Gardener in very dry, very cold, zone 4/5. Now, in Texas, our garden is growing something all year long. Trouble is I can't get it through my head that tomatoes in Texas should be started in late December and finish by May when night time temperatures are in the 80's. Any advice on growing in zone 9 would be appreciated.
So far the one constant in all my attempts to garden is, find as much organic matter as you can and just keep pitching it in the the patch you are working on.
I'd love some advice on a hibiscus that was labeled "exotic". The flowers are as big as dinnerplates and they last two days. The garden lady said they are heavy feeders. Could someone explain the type or
frequency of fertilizer I should use.
Thanks,
Txbay
