i live in the south-western tip of lincolnshire.

a motor mechanic most of the time and definitely not a gardener, though it is lack of time and oportunity that is the cause.
with a few exceptions i believe nature knows best and i like to see wild gardens. i don't like cultivated flowers much and prefer common wild flowers and things that have self-set. i particularly like wild roses and the small dead-nettles with the pink/blue flowers.
i know the names of very little and wouldn't remember them if someone told me...

i wouldn't dream of cutting flowers or buying cut flowers and to tell the truth i don't really approve of others doing it, a nice houseplant instead is so much more humane...

i do have a weakness for the organised chaos of the victorian cottage garden and best of all i like to see rows of vegetables in a well-tended kitchen garden.
when i have the oportunity, which isn't very often, i like to stand and stare in an old high-walled garden.
