I love gardening and photography, especially of my flowers, my cats and this beautiful country I call home.

We took early retirement and moved to Portugal in October 2001 having purchased our old farmworker's cottage in 1997. I took on the challenge of a previously unattended weed patch and have transformed it into a picture postcard of vibrant colour, preferring to use evergreen and drought-resistant shrubs, trees and flowers.

I shall be adding photographs of the shrubs, trees and flowers in my garden but apologise as I notice they are not the correct size for this forum whereas they are standard on the others I frequent.
