My Garden

I thought i should keep a journal on the development of my first small garden. I have before and after pictures, and from looking at that i know that its working…meaning…i think i may have a green thumb…we have water problems in area of the country, so i use wash water to water the garden, its good too for the environment, atleast all the detergent gets filtered before its hits the ocean…have to always be mindful about what happens at the end…
This is also my first blog…i hope i am doing it right?
My first garden is modest…its small and manageable. I also have a couple of potted plants.

You have done very well with your garden, and I can see that very soon you'll have many more plants in pots and in the ground.

I'm sorry but I'm confused. It looks like you joined Goy in September 2009 Yellowtree, but I was just about to welcome you. I admit not to recognising most flags, so I have no idea where you and your garden are. Looks good though.
Just found out you are in Fiji.

Hi Yellowtree. Welcome to GOY ... yes you definitely did your first blog very well. I'm impressed with your work in the garden too ... you really have made a huge difference. Your garden beds are looking great!
I also use wash water on my garden beds ... we call it 'grey water' here. All the water from our shower, bath, wash basins, sinks and dishwasher go into either garden beds or around trees. It makes a huge difference in a dry climate like mine ... and it's much more environmentally friendly. I do choose my washing detergent and washing powder carefully though ... some of them are not that plant-friendly.
