GoY Update : Performance, continued again

Dear all,
The changes this morning went smoothly and with only a few minutes downtime.
We are now ready to move on to the next phase which is the introduction of a new and faster database server (which was the bottleneck before). This is going to involve a more lengthy downtime while we install the new server.
We are giving ourselves an hour window from 6am – 7am UK time on Wednesday morning during which time the website will be down.
Sorry. These changes will hopefully go smoothly and the increased performance will give us some more growing space.

Truffle the Terrier does like to catch up with GoY between 6 am and 7 am. ..
... but I've explained about the new and faster database server, and Truffle says he'll enjoy his GoY fix later on Wednesday ... :o)
