Been digging up my spuds , full of keele worm ,still edible but bad for storing. Will only plant first earlies next year as I think this is the best way of avoiding the little beasts . Have had a good yeald this year pity about the slugs.
Can’t get in my greenhouse for the cucumbers, planted too many, next year I will only put in two plants. Tomatoes have done really well but some have been eaten by wood lice ,never had this problem before. Have had no splitters this year.
Should have gone fishing today but west wind is too strong pity because the forcast for the rest of the week is good.

Yes, a good year for all fruiting crops I think Pop.As I've covered in my recent blog, although all three of my Cucumber plants rotted and keeled over in the really cold weather in early summer in. My cold frame. Also, root crops have been poor, I think, due to the ground still being cold after the wet cold early half of the year!

Pop every year I tell myself not to plant so many toms and cucumbers, do I ever listen, NOPE!!! consequently I am once again trying to offload toms and cucumbers, lol, my potato's were all tops and no bottoms so won't be bothering next year but have done well with cabbage, carrots and beans, so not a bad year really.......

I grew Lady Crystl and Casablanca for my first earlies last year. The first were delicious but sluggy, but the Casablanca weren't much affected. Lady Crystl was sluggy again this year once there was some rain so might not try with them again even though they are very nice.
