Driving very good ,walking not so good. Ice skates i do not have. Cactus in propagator appear to be resting fine (thankyou Hywel and joanella) the tiny spikes are getting little bobbles at their base. Six cacti all at differant stages of growth hope they make it to next spring. Outside bulbs ( Crocus ) also appear to be showing above soil in wall boxes. Find it unusual that growth can take place in such low temperatures but then i am a mere mortal and nature will do what i cannot. All in all a pleasant day. Little tip for seedlings. 3 years ago my good lady intended to discard the cardboard roll found in Christmas parcel (gift) paper. I cut the roll into 2 & 4 inch peices and planted seed into them. Out of ten peices i got eight plants to go direct into the soil. The root structure in 4 inch peices was terrific.. Somthing to think about. Take care outside nice people and enjoy.

I cant get out in the back garden to see if my bulbs are coming through,as there is still some ice and snow. I hope it clears away soon as I have my Christmas shopping to do yet. It is good that you have your cacti under cover take care. :o)
