Happy New Year Tony.

Happy new year, thats a great start Tony, oh spring is on its way just cant wait. this year got a b and q voucher for a pressie dont know what to get. Get so excited about my plants.

I lost one seedling tray of freshly sown garlic bulbs (found some earth where they were but rest are probably in Denmark by now). Given the gale force winds I got off lightly - my neighbours house lost part of their roof and other houses and flats in the neighbourhood lost lots of tiles. Part of my garden fence almost blew down - I saw it looking like it would fail so propped it up with lots of wood and that saved it. Bush shelters are ripped up with the concrete still in place and the local supermarket lost all their trolly parking shelters and the wind took up some of the monoblock paving around it!

Am everyone is fine though.

Happy New year to you also and looking forward to our gang being back together, or should I say crew! Your rose cutting may pick up as the season goes on,and the rose you have shown us is beautiful.Happy gardening.

Hi Kildermorie Yes the winds here hit with a vengeance last night. So blooming powerful but the good news is not a great deal of damage . Two years ago i lost 3 GH panels all of them landed in a neighbours garden. After that i put extra pins in all the panels and all is ok. Take care now and have a wonderful year. Tony

Now please lets get down to business. 23 pots of your perfect jam, 16 apple pies,(no mince pies thankyou) and a large bag of dumplings. Thats about 4 years supplies Rose, the ships repaired. I think Elizabeth is still chasing one of the little people up and down her beautyful garden to get the pot of gold. I do hope he has,nt gone bankrupt(LoL). Take care Rose its nice to be back Tony

Right Tony I have my sleeves rolled up and am preparing to make everything as we speak, we've got to get that ship up and running.I think you might find that Elizabeth will be finding that pot of gold and bringing it back to us!

blooming cheek Elizabeth caught a tail wind and zoomed right past Tinys landing perch. Tiny very upset but made eye,s at the broom. Whoops she is trying to land again its a good job i have a ping pong bat in each hand to guide her in. What rotten luck my number one landed in the duck pond. Sorry Elizabeth it was Roses fault the aroma of her pies broke my concentration. If you have the gold Elizabeth please feel free to land in the hole you made in my lawn. Take care crew Cpn Tony

oooh poor elizabeth landing between two ping pong bats, she will be black and blue.

Rose and stickie i will keep you posted on the whereabouts of Elizabeth. i have to be careful as last year that young lady gazumped the wooden floor in my shed. I can prove it was my number one that did it as the DNA on the Toffee paper under the floor was of Irish pollen. I also noted a tiny wee speck of gold on one of the boards which was the loot from King Flarhertys gold pot. I beleive Elizabeth is keeping this evidence under wraps by jiminey. Take care tony

I think she must be playing games with us and perhaps keeps flying over for a bit of fun! Perhaps you better alter Tiny's perch so she can have a safe landing!

is the wind sock out so she knows which way to put the plane onto the landing strip?

hiRose I have my wellies on and am going to investigate a gold light coming from the hole on my lawn. Have first aid kit ,a rope ,my radio,and a large spring on my back just in case i have to bounce quickly out of the hole. I can hear a little voice saying " no its my gold its all mine get off me hat" and a lady retorting "ok the hat doesn't fit me anyway" she has an irish accent. Episode 2 to morrow take care Tony
