I hope everyone, and their garden, survived the storm without too much damage.

Everything here in Bracknell is still in one piece, although a tree came down over a main road about a mile from the house. And just for good measure, we had a power cut on Saturday night for just over an hour, so no GOY :-(

Good Andrew. It seems to have been not as bad as expected. Pretty unlucky for those who were affected.

I was just saying on my blog Andrew....the quiet ones may have no internet connection and perhaps more damage. Hope not.

Glad you escaped unscathed. It was very windy here (SE London), but only an ornament and a picture fell down (both unbroken) and I saw 1 tree down on my way to work which blocked the pavement but not the road, so we were lucky. Watching the news, my thoughts are for those families who have lost loved ones.

We got off very lightly Andrew, no electricity for 4 hours and the tree that lent over now has a new stake.

Although the wind was horrendous the garden survived very well, only a few branches off the tree dahlia, at over 7 ft it was an accident waiting to happen!! I do understand there were many more problems locally, expecting the same again this weekend.....oh dear!! pleased to hear your garden survived Andrew.

We had very little damage, but we were lucky, because not very many miles away they had a really tough time. We were on the edge of it.

It seems to have moved over to Europe now, and hasn't lessened in intensity.
