Rhododendron foliage - it doesn't have to be green

Although I have covered this subject before, I wanted to post photos of the new foliage on some of my rhododendrons which I chose for that very reason. The colours seem to be particularly good this year (or my memory of last year’s colours is fading).
Rhododendron bureavii
Rhododendron pachysanthum
Rhododendron campanulatum subsp aeruginosum
All three of these can be shy to flower, but rhododendron ‘Everred’ blooms reliably every year, and the leaves keep their dark colour all the time.

That is what I am doing too Andrew. I am buying rhododendrons for their leaves for all year interest rather than just flowers. There are some very interesting new growth leaves on many of them. Even on hybrids. I just bought this year Rhododendron 'Cherries and Merlot' which have an incredible combination if dark green leaves with burgundy underside. I like the "Everred" too.

Love all of them, think the bureavil is my favourite.
