Hello Everybody

I just wanted to say that I am gradually finding a way back to gardening. The garden is a mess – but it’s a pretty mess – good for wildlife, I tell myself. I can’t quite get myself to spend much time in it yet (although I do keep looking at it), partly because the weather is so rubbish, and partly because it’s still just a bit too painful – it was and is OUR garden.
I managed to lift a host of onions and potatoes from the allotment – all planted by Sue and looking great. I’ve even learned how to pickle some of the smaller onions and hope that works out. We’ve got Leeks coming that look good, Brussel Sprouts growing great, carrots that are so sweet, and I’m still eating the odd strawberry – so Sue has taken very good care of me food wise!
It’s lovely to see how people are progressing and great to see lots of new members. I really look forward to getting back into the site and exchanging news and views and continuing to learn really useful stuff.
What a great site

Hello Buzzbee. It's really good to see you writing a blog. You are on the right road. I understand that it is a long and painful time, but I know that being in your garden will help you. What a great memorial to Sue it will be as you enjoy it and create more beauty as you work in it. Take care.

Welcome back Buzzbee so glad you now feel able to continue . Yes the wildlife will enjoy a bit of neglect to the garden but reward you with signs of trust and companionship that may help at this difficult time.

Hi Buzzbee - I KNOW the garden will help you - the painful memories will gradually turn to sweet ones of your dear wife who will always be with you out there. Yes, you do have a lot of friends here, as Hywel says, so please contact us whenever you feel you want to. It's lovely to have you back. X from me.
