I drink a lot of herbal tea so I’ve decided to start growing what I can myself. For years, I have been growing Lemon Verbena and that has kept me with tea throughout the year. This year I have decided to try a few new things to add to my herbal teas.
I have sown Melissa, Stevia and Anise. I have seeds for a ‘real’ licorice root plant, I have no idea how hard it is to grow but I will give it a go. I still need peppermint, I still have time to sow that.

Hi there limpet,
I like herbal teas and really only dabbled a few times in making my own, with varying success.
How about raspberry leaves steeped in hot water, errr a very green flavour from them (that's the only way I could describe that)
Feverfew was a pleasant one, I picked and dried the flowers to steep.
I did some thing with lovage too, but I can't remember if that was a hot or cold drink, I think I crushed a few leaves and made some kind of mint and lovage cordial, and then decided it might taste better warm!.
Happy gardening.

Thank you Hywel, chamomile is lovely, I like that too :)
Chickenlady, I might try feverfew, I imagine it will be quite happy in a pot and it's such a pretty plant too! If I come across a raspberry I'll try the leaves, sounds interesting too. Lovage is another I haven't thought about; wow so many things to try :)
