My 'garden' is a rented south-facing suburbian London backyard, so I mostly grow things in pots. I grow herbs, shrubs, alpines, grasses and herbaceaus plants in pots, and some veg in a tiny pvc greenhouse. I also grow herbs for making my own herb teas. I collect Heucheras, I think their amazing foilage is what attracts me and the fact they look beautiful all year round.

I am 40 years old and I've been into gardening for about 5 years now. It was sparked off from working a stint as assistant to the plantsman at the local garden centre where I learned so much! Since then I have become addicted, loving all the gardening shows and programmes, I especially love watching Carol Klein because she seems to have such a passion and love for anything growing.

I enjoy the wildlife and insects in my little yard as much as the plants, I don't use pesticides and I've lately taken an interest in companion planting.
