Another raised bed

We still had a lot of the stones left from the fire place so we decided to make another raised bed, opposite the first one.
I scraped away the gravel to reveal more plastic sheeting underneath.
That meant that I had to remove the gravel and soil over the whole area to expose the rest of the plastic.
There were two layers of it.
I left the plastic under the path through the centre of the bed.
Confession time now. Neither of these beds has performed as well as we had hoped. Not sure why, so next Spring (2021) I will see if I can improve them in some way. Still even with poor plant growth we think it looks better than it did.

I think its all grand, really enjoying seeing it all come together Ob, faith and patience, that's what you need, its been a really odd year all round, not a good year for judging what is happening in a new garden, not sure where you are but where I live it started raining last September right through until end of Mar, garden turned into a right paddy field, then a heatwave, weeks of dry weather, more nonstop rain but everything went mad, its been like that all the time, all or nothing, not too bad this week though,my garden has decided its both spring and autumn, confused or what, no telling's whats going to happen in the next coming months, I know you'll sort it....
