The Garden Community for Garden Lovers

Hello again everyone:-)

I’ve been absent for quite some time due to health concerns but I’ve popped in to lurk when I could .
So wonderful to see so many familiar posters still here .My garden has had to be put on hold but is now “on the cards” again with a vengeance :-))
Chelsea is delighting me this year with its wild woodland gardens as it’s what I aspire to for my own .Its not for everyone and thank goodness we all love our own styles. That’s the beauty of a garden ,we can express ourselves in our own way .I’m over the moon with the new plant winner a digitalis (Illumination)that flowers for a long season bred by Thomson and Morgan and already ordered by Susie.I may dislike its colour when it flowers but i just have to try it .
I’m inspired by a beautiful bouquet I have made in silk and want to try to recreate its feel so I’m ruthlessly pulling up shrubs and plants that “jar” with my ideal.

Unfortunately like much loved possessions I’m having such a hard time with that though and keep thinking I’ll just pop it in somewhere else that I just don’t have ! This is my little start ,two hebes I just love with a small Heuchera “Plum Royale” and a very poorly euphorbia purpurea.

Acer colours really with lots of foliage and lots of white.

Anyway enough for my first blog ,hope your all enjoying Chelsea and the sun …finally ! :-)))

I have been watching Chelsea too Susie. It is lovely isn't it? Enjoy creating your new layout. I'm sure you will manage to find a little space for everything.

I'm sure I will Linda:-) I'm still at the paper and pen stage in the second half of the garden as the hubby turns green every time I mention diggin up the lawn and laying paths .In fairness to him I am still in the middle of sorting the top bit out so don't want to take on too much but its so frustrating lol

its good that you are well enough to get back into the garden, I always say that when I cannot cope with mine thats the time to move, lol, I`m terrible with mine, I hate to throw plants and shrubs away, if its living I just cannot dispose of it so they get moved, its a good job I don`t like gaps, lol...
